Hayner Burgfest 2024 - Summary of important facts
Background Information
In Dreieichenhain (located between Frankfurt and Darmstadt) one of the last historical cities in the Rhein-Main-Region the Hayner Burgfest is celebrated every year on the 2nd weekend in September. A premium cultural programme, the large medieval market 'Herrenborn', exclusive shows and the unique ambiance of the castle and historical town centre make the Hayner Burgfest one of Germany's most famous medieval events.
Focus
We want every Hayner Burgfest to be different to the one before. Therefore we choose a main subject every year. This year's motto 'Kurzweyl, Schmaus und Schabernack' will focus on the colourful and medieval hustle on the festival grounds.
On Friday, the medieval rock'n folk band 'Letzte Instanz' will be playing with their beautiful melodies, thoughtful lyrics and perfect arrangements to delight the festival guests. The keyword for Satruday evening remains resurrection. Our former house band Schelmish, one of the leading medieval bands until 2012, will ensure an overflowing atmosphere just like last year. Only once on stage this year and only at the 'Hayner Burgfest.
